His eye is upon us 12/7/15

I was driving recently, and as I looked forward while waiting at a light, I noticed the vehicle in front of me, with a large object hanging from their rear view mirror. It was a large glass ‘evil eye’. They are common in bracelets and represent some weird custom where they believe they are warding off evil spirits.

The sad thing is that in the process of partaking in this practice, the person who has placed their false belief in it’s power have also forfeited their protection from true evil, as they fall under curse of false Gods and idolatry.

The truth is, there is no such thing as luck. There are variants of good and bad, up and down, right and wrong, good and evil. There are blessings and curses. No luck. Luck is a nickname for Lucifer, the father of deception and lies. Do not be fooled.

It’s quite funny how God shows things to me in layers of events. Knowing what will resonate with me, what I take notice of and what conversations will ensure over such topics. I find it comforting, reassuring and really quite special. His eye is upon us in every aspect of life, even when we are going abut our day to day, obliviously.

Just as I was percolating over all of this, I just happened to open the bible to a very special spot. How amazing it is when you see with your eyes what your spirit already knows. The scripture was so spot on. It was not luck, it was not chance, it was His wink my way.

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
There is so much that we can see around us, that could be troubling, concern causing, scary or causing us to fear. But we ought not, he has so many scriptures reminding us, that not a hair of our heads shall perish. He knows that we are going to be needing these reminders.
There is no ornament, incantation or potion that can protect you. The safety, the protection resided in the King of Kings, the prescient pillar, Abba Father.

John 16:33

33 I have said these things to you, that hin me you may have peace. iIn the world you will have jtribulation. But ktake heart; lI have overcome the world.”
