Weapons that the enemy hopes you will never resort to…

The enemy is banking on the notion that you will never get the idea, the courage or the determination to take God at His word, or at His example and FAST!

Fasting & Prayer is perhaps the GREATEST weapon against the enemy. It is also incidentally, very instrumental in advancing yourself in the Kingdom. It is what makes you very desirable to God.

Every person, every situation is different. You must also take into account what type of fast you feel led to in the spirit. For some, an all vegetable fast where you eliminate all other pleasant, desirable foods such as bread, meat, and sugary foods. Others may only be able to fast something like coffee or soda. Whereas other people will fast things like Television, or social media exposure. As long as you are sacrificing something, that is the entire point.

When we do this, it is observed by God and it brings the natural world under subjection. Since you are connected to your body and the natural world, you are enforcing your dominion through Christ. You are declaring your authority over your physical body and smacking down the forces that entirely pull at you 'all the day' long.

The act of a fast, whether it be 3 days, 7 days or 21 days,  sets you apart and sets up! It places you in a position of closeness with the Father that can not otherwise be reached through your natural means and progression. Its an application of divine appointment.

Remember, we are not supposed to be outwardly broadcasting that we are in a fast but this is between God and us, in a private group setting.

Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
