Inspired Update – Perspective is a tool for preservation

I was having a conversation recently where we were discussing the undesirableness of a particular type of grocers, where they sell all of their inventory at very deep discounts because all of their perishables are so close to their expiration dates. We both exclaimed, "it's just not worth the chance of getting sick and not worth the meager savings", yet with a sober understanding that some people may not have that choice, or may not perceive potential danger.

This brought to mind a deeper topic and then the Holy Spirit expressed some deep truths. Everything in this world that we inhabit has an expiration, including the inanimate objects that we acquire and aspire to posses. Even that word, think about that word...to possess!

In this world of consumption and acquisition (which is a  consistent cycle) the things that are not of God (in spirit or acquisition) are even closer to their end than everything else.  Nothing here, in this realm, is exempt from the fact that it can not go with you on your eternal journey, after your mortal life ends. Why on Earth would anyone sell their Eternal for the Mortal, (the everlasting for the un-lasting) or even an abundance of anything. as it all has a permanent end.

Clearly, the enemy is great at deceiving people otherwise everyone would realize suddenly that true value isn't realized until redemption. Redemption is a necessary part of salvation, where a sinner who is guilty and sentenced to death is able to receive a pardon.

Think about, in the worlds system, when someone is incarcerated they are given a chance to make a call (a lawyer, aka counsel) In God's Kingdom, one may make that call, to His counsel (the Great Counselor and appeal) asking the Lord for forgiveness and redemption with a pardon.

Father God, I pray and plead the blood of the Lamb protection over me and mine, over everything connected to us and through us. Father, draw those ones to You that are ready to receive You. We thank You Lord, knowing You work in mysterious and magnificent ways.

Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Mark 8:36

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
