One very valuable thing my Mother taught me and reinforced, was to honor yourself, speak your truth and always be good to yourself. When I was overloaded with burdens, tasks and the happenstances of life, she would remind me that ONLY I could edit, amend and manage my ‘to do’ list. She always felt that my ambitions overextended most any ones capacity, LOL I have truly learned to slow down and take it easier on myself, and life has surely thrown things at me that demanded it.
Yesterday was a very difficult day, acknowledging Mothers day and not being able to spoil her, talk with her or hug her. A day doesn’t go by where I don’t think of her, miss her and honor her many gifts of love and sacrifice.
Taking a cue from how I am feeling, I am allowing myself a day to recuperate. The Lord tells us that we are to be glad and rejoice in the day. Today I will do exactly that. Every moment is a gift. Joy comes in the morning and I cant help but try to apply that to the “mourning” as well. For me its a quest to remain thankful, happy and fulfilled.
Be back next week, God willing, with more messages of encouragement from our Lord!
Have a Blessed week!
