What exactly did God have in mind for me, when I was I created?! What was the plan?! It's been a frequent topic this week, in our household, in our studies of the word and in our endeavor to move closer to the Lord through our fasting.
Standing on line at the grocery store, I couldn't help but notice the gossip mags. The headlines are written to pique one's curiosity. I can see how the lure is cast and why people buy into this. After all, people will say they want to be informed. In reality, they want to compare their lives to someone else. Typically, this is someone that was either perceived as a celebrity or having some sort of social status.
What makes you popular and appealing on earth is NOT necessarily what holds weight or value in Heaven. In fact, it is typically quite opposite.
We have come to know that there are things written about us in Heaven. That's right! Our Father had a vision in mind for us when He created us, along with it, everything necessary for the completion of that vision in the form of 'provision' was set up from that foundation as He breathed us forward.
Much different than some gossip column, This is an accounting straight from the throne. Direct from our very Creator. This intrigues us, delights us, emboldens us! We want to know more. Father share with us, show us, help us understand more of what YOU had in mind. Help us move past the foibles and stumbling of what we call everyday life. Help us to embrace and accept all You have prepared for us.
The quicker we can get passed our own plans, persuasions, and distractions the quicker we can get onto the really good stuff.
It's taken us a minute to realize that YOUR ways are far better than ours. That what You have planned, designed and laid out for us is far more exciting, rewarding and substantial than anything we could strive for on our own.
It has taken some hard falls to knock the edges off and to bring us to this mailable point but none the less, here we are LORD! Ready for You to have Your way, in every THING! Show us the plan, bring us into Your vision, help us to see it, to achieve it and allow it to unfold.
